Elementary teacher “Sunday Reyes” once again visited his former student with a disability in his legs, whom he was able to help after featuring him on social media.

Reyes and his former student were first featured in Balita newspaper of Manila Bulletin in August 2022, when he appealed to the public for a wheelchair to help him continue attending school.

Netizens were moved by Sir Sunday’s 2022 Facebook post, in which he appealed for a wheelchair for his student with a disability.

A few days after students returned to school, Sir Sunday learned that one of his students needed a wheelchair to continue attending classes, especially as face-to-face learning was gradually resuming at that time.

In the photos he shared, Sir Sunday can be seen carrying his student, appealing to kind-hearted individuals to help provide the child with a wheelchair.

In the teacher’s latest update, it appears that someone with a generous heart responded to his call for assistance.

“Thank you po 🙂” the teacher said.

The child’s guardian expressed immense gratitude, noting that in addition to the wheelchair, they are also receiving an overwhelming number of private messages offering various forms of assistance for the child.

Almost a year later, Teacher Sunday and the child reunited. He carried him once again, just as he did before. It was noticeable that the child had grown significantly, which also surprised the teacher.

“Masarap maging guro 🙂”

“So proud of you anak ko, maggagraduate kana.

“Ipagpatuloy mo pag-aaral mo.”

“God bless always anak ko ❤️”

“Thank God kahit umuulan pinahintulutan Niyang maabot ko ang munti regalo sa iyo anak ko para sa iyong graduation bukas,” he said on his Facebook post.
