Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara has asked cooperation from students, teachers, stakeholders and others in the Philippine community to bring positive changes in the country’s education sector.
Angara affirmed the importance of and asked for stronger “bayanihan spirit” next year, 2025, to modernize and thus bring higher quality education to teachers and students.
In a Facebook post by DepEd Philippines, he said, “Sa susunod na taon, multi nating pagtibayin ang diwa ng bayanihang Pilipino upang maisulong ang naabot, moderno, at dekalidad na edukasyon para sa ating mga guro at mag-aaral.”
The DepEd chief added, “Basta’t tulong-tulong, makakamit natin ang pagbabago sa edukasyon ng Bagong Pilipinas.”
Moreover, the public official expressed gratitude to the successes of the outgoing year, 2024, that despite several challenges, DepEd has succeeded in a lot of ways thru cooperation.
“Naging makulay para sa DepEd ang 2024. Sa kabila ng mga hamon, marami tayong napagtagumpayan dahil sa sama-samang pag-aksyon.
“Taos-puso akong nagpapasalamat sa inyong dedikasyon at suporta, pati na rin sa tiwala Ninyo sa akin bilang inyong Kalihim.”
He has likewise mentioned President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr, among partners in the government and private sectors for bringing programs and reforms to uplift the basic education system.
“Maraming salamat, at nawa’y maging makabuluhan ang inyong Pasko at masagana ang Bagong Taon!”
