Passing the board exam and earning a license in your chosen profession is an incredible achievement, but what if you accomplish that and more?
This is the success story of Engr. Kathreen Louise Del Rosario, a magna cum laude graduate of Bulacan State University (BSU)-Malolos in 2016.

She pursued a degree in Civil Engineering.
Not only did she pass one licensure exam, but she also topped three!
Kathreen ranked eighth in the November 2016 Civil Engineering board exam, fourth in the Master Plumber board exam in February 2017, and fifth in the September 2017 Materials Engineer Accreditation Examination.
In an interview, Kathreen shared that during high school, she wasn’t particularly active in class and considered herself “easy-going.” Initially, her parents wanted her to follow her mother’s path and pursue Nursing in college. However, at that time, Nursing was no longer in high demand, and many schools offering the program were closing. As a result, she chose her second option, Civil Engineering, and her parents supported her decision.
It seems that Kathreen was truly meant for Civil Engineering, as there were reportedly no available slots for her. However, by God’s grace, a way was made. At the time, she wasn’t fully passionate about the degree program she chose, as she had initially set her heart on pursuing Nursing.
Regarding her board exam preparation, Kathreen didn’t aim to be a topnotcher, but she unexpectedly topped the pre-board exam, which made her feel pressured. Despite this, she succeeded, ultimately becoming a topnotcher in the actual exam.
Along with the rewards she received for being a topnotcher, Kathreen was also given incentives by the review centers where she studied.
Her advice to future board exam takers is to stay off social media for a while in order to focus on their studies.
