Mornblog.com was founded last November 1, 2024, by Jackie Mark, as an excellent resource for teachers and educators.
Jackie Mark (JAKI) is a social studies teacher under the Philippine government’s Department of Education. He has worked as writer under Definitely Filipino and Information Officer (JO) under Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 2.
For about two years of working under the education department, JAKI has noticed that some teachers often rely on websites such as DepEd Tambayan, DepEd Click, DepEd Club, among others for their lessons – sometimes as inspiration, sometimes as is, due to time constraints and lots of activities given to teachers. Though helpful, we need materials of higher quality.
Moreover, there seems to be an apparent decline in students’ interest in education and more on leisure activities like playing mobile games and spending lots of time on social media (devices are more accessible and acts most often as distraction to learning). Hence, students need to be inspired.
Mornblog writers include Ricks de Leon, a college instructor, a textbook writer, an assistant editor of a prestigious newspaper and media company.
Other writers such as Ronzel and Cahrl joined the editorial team.
Since its creation in 2024, Mornblog.com has envisioned itself as a place on the web where teachers and educators come together to boost interest in learning and teaching.
The site’s slogan shall live on: “Helping Students and Educators Triumph.”
