A Facebook post by a student netizen has gone viral after he proudly shared the story of his classmate in the Electrical Engineering program at the University of the East Caloocan, who manages to balance his studies while working hard as a rider for a popular motorcycle taxi and delivery service company.
In his Facebook post last January 24, 2024, Nick Derrick Lacson shared that “John Vastile Ambrosio,” or JV, arrived for one of their major subjects still wearing his rider uniform, as he rushed to make it on time.
Nick said he couldn’t help but feel admiration and inspiration from JV, as despite the challenging subjects in their degree program, he still manages to balance both his studies and work.

JV is truly admirable because, despite his busy schedule as a rider, he is also one of the top students in their class. He was even a Dean’s Lister at his previous school, Mapúa University.

Keep it up, JV! Way to go!
