Netizens have shown their support for a Facebook post by an elementary teacher in Masbate City after he shared his feeding project for his advisory class.

In one of the viral Facebook posts, teacher Ronnie V. Valladores Jr., 31, from Brgy. Anas, Masbate City, can be seen personally preparing meals for his Grade 5 pupils at Anas Elementary School.

“Paano ko imotivate ang aking mga pupils pumasok? Our free lunch for today,” it can be read on his Facebook post.

“Pork Menudo with green peas, potato, carrots and other vegies. Tortang talong with egg. Plain Rice. Dalandan Fruit. Orange Juice.”

“NOTE: Magkakaroon po kami ng mini kitchen beside/outside my classroom. On going na po ang construction. This will be good for 1 year every Monday and Friday. We are still looking for sponsors from Tue – Thu. Salamat sa aking 2 major sponsors. Maam Elena Caunt as well as foodpanda.”

Sir Ronnie is a Teacher III and has been teaching in elementary school for eight years.

Aside from being a teacher, he is also a content creator. His work as a content creator has greatly helped him raise funds for his project, in addition to securing sponsorships. A delivery app company has partnered with him to cover the expenses for the free lunch and snacks for the children, along with other followers and individual sponsors who have pledged their support.

He mentioned that he noticed no one has been absent from his advisory class because one of the things they look forward to is the free meals they will receive, in addition to the valuable lessons they gain from attending school.

According to Sir Ronnie, the total cost for each meal is ₱4,000 for 40 pupils, which is ₱100 per head. Additionally, he spends ₱1,000 for operational expenses such as transportation, gas, and manpower. So, the total cost amounts to ₱5,000 per day.

Kudos, Teacher Ronnie!
